Expertise in the Valuation Industry

Valuecorp employs and engages a number of valuers covering all of the Sydney Metropolitan Area. Our business is well established (commencing 1980) and provide valuations for all types of real estate. Over the years we have assisted all major banks, originators, building society’s and mortgage insurers.

The level of expertise in our group is varied and extensive. We have also undertaken residential, commercial, construction and development work for large international banks and their clients. This is an area that involves valuation of all types of properties in all areas of the city and metropolitan including projections, cost evaluation and project value projections, advice on finished products, market expectations and demand to guide the project to successful completion and disposal.

Robert Hecek, LFAPI

Managing Director

Robert joined the Australian Property Institute (API) as an Associate in 1983, and became a Fellow in 2000, and became Life Fellow at the 2016 API AGM in Adelaide in May 2016.

In 1980 he formed the valuation practice Valuecorp which is based in Gladesville, Sydney and employs some 25 Valuers, covering all facets of valuation and consulting work through NSW.

With co-operation and input from all stakeholders and major Valuation Firms, Robert assisted in the introduction of the Australian Banking and Finance Industry Residential Standing Instructions, the first of its kind for the Australian valuation industry.

From 2013, all Residential Valuers conduct an annual online module based on their competency and level of understanding of the Standing Instructions.

  • Formed an increased the function and relevance of the API Banking and Finance Committee, now the crucial place of interaction between API, LMI, and Banks, all regular attendants of the Committee bi-monthly meetings
  • Appointed Chair of the Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee in 2008, and proceeded with the National Director, Grant Warner to develop implement and establish the Capped Liability Scheme on a National basis and drive the Legislation process to completion so the Scheme did commence in December 2010 Nationally. The scheme has now changed the liability of Valuers forever and we are the first Valuers in the World to have Capped Liability.

Michael Anello, FAPI

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Michael is a Director, Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and a Certified Practicing Valuer.

Candidate for the 2017 National Board elections of the Australian Property Institute.

Licenced Real Estate Agent.

Michael has held various senior positions with Valuecorp, after joining the company some twenty years ago.

Michael commenced his career in 1980 with T. & G. Mutual Life Society’s Property Division as a Property Manager for a short time before transferring to the Commercial Valuation and Professional Division. & G. merged with National Mutual in 1983.

He played an important role in the valuation of National Mutual’s large diversified property portfolio, valuing residential properties, commercial buildings, retail centres and industrial complexes for the Company’s various Funds and Property Trust. He left National Mutual as a Portfolio Valuer with joint responsibility for the valuation of the entire portfolio plus proposed purchases and sales.

After being with National Mutual for more than 6 years, Michael joined Debenham Tewson International and was involved with all categories of property valuation including professional real estate consultancy.

Michael was specifically involved with a variety of major development and investment companies including Ampol, Condux Developments, State Superannuation Board, Advance Asset Management and the Commonwealth Bank .

His current position is the CEO of Valuecorp, managing the valuation team and specialises in the valuation of prestige residential, commercial, industrial and retail properties.

He is a member of the examiners panel for the NSW Australian Property Institute, testing new applicants for competency and valuation skills. Also he is an appointed expert on Rental Determination and dispute matters.

Michael is one of few elite upper end valuers servicing the banking industry.
